Troma Nagmo Drubchod 2019

Troma Nagmo Drubchod, December 25th, 2019 to January 1st, 2020

Lama Chimed Rigdzin is the Vajra Master

“Drubchod” is the practice of accomplishing great offerings. During this extensive ceremony we make many types of offerings; our practice, food (tsog) and several substances, butterlamps, music, etc. This way, we try to accomplish the two accumulations: accumulation of merit, by means of generosity, and accumulation of wisdom. Here you can find more information about Troma practice.

Troma Drubchod 2017 in Shiwa Gonpa Dorje Chokhor Ling had Kathog Khen Rinpoche’s illustrious presence, who came with his disciple, Lama Palden, also from Kathog. Khen Rinpoche very generously gave to the Trome group the oral transmission of the text from Kathog Khenchen Sodnam Tenpa “Sher Chin Gom Len”, which means “Gradual Meditation in Supreme Transcendent knowledge; a golden stick pointing the mind”. Lama Chimed includes this text in the program for Troma Drubchod 2019 in the practice of the students that have already started their Ngondro. while the other practitioners do their Troma accumulations.

Troma Drubchod 2019 starts at 1pm on Dec 25th, Wednesday, when Lama Chimed will confer Troma Nagmo empowerment, which is mandatory for this practice. In the following days, practices start at around 8am and continue until around 6pm, with a lunch break. A more specific schedule will be provided during the retreat. On Jan 1st 2020, early in the morning, practitioners will receive the siddhis of the practice.

Troma Drubchod is planned to end around 10am on Jan 1st.

The ceremonies are permeated by teachings given by Lama Chimed. There are, occasionally, sessions of questions and answers in the afternoon. Lama Chimed, natural from Tibet, teaches in English and is translated into Portuguese by an interpreter.
